#Inloveathon Round Up

So somehow the #inloveathon is already done. I don’t really know why, but for some reason I got the idea stuck in my head that it was still going throughout today, but apparently it’s not so that means this round up is just in time for #BookishFridays! Small pieces of good luck, right? 🙂

1. Read a book from your favorite romance author.

Kate Perry. As chance would have it, I actually got some new books from my two other favourite romance authors – Cathy Kelly and Jill Mansell – from the bf for Valentines. Now that’s giving in theme, right? 🙂

2. Read a book that has your favorite romantic trope.

Once Upon a Dream, Kate Perry.

I mean, I really like her work.

3. Read a book with a prince/princess.

The Royal We, by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan.

And I’ve heard some people say it’s basically glorified fanfiction, which I’m not disagreeing with. That does not take away from the fact that it’s still awesome. ànd totally getting reviewed as soon as I get round to that 🙂

4. Read an original fairytale and watch the Disney movie or a film adaptation.

I cannot tell you how long it had been since I’d seen The Little Mermaid, so I ended up reading the fairytale because I realised I wanted to watch the movie. And also because Netflix had it. #Netflixandchill on pre-Valentines was awesome 🙂

5. Read a book while eating some Valentine treats.

Either Victoria’s Children – which is technically a biography kind of book, but also talks about a lot of romance ànd I was eating a lot of cute candies while eating this.

Or: Sense and Sensibility – because I just got myself the Forest Fruit donuts that look amazing and taste beyond divine. It was awesome 🙂

6. Read a book that takes place in a location where you would love to spend Valentine’s Day.

Any of the Kate Perry books on this list. I was going to read The Cosy Teashop in the Castle but, as I said… Time kind of got away from me at one point. So Kate Perry it is!

7. Read a book with pink or red in the cover.

Give a Little, Kate Perry.
Yes, I’m aware that there’s quite a lot of Kate Perry for this readathon. What can I say, though, she’s now part of my favourite romance writers ànd she’s written some awesome romance series!

8. Read a LGBTQ+ love story.

I’m not sure what happened – I had great plans to get a new LGBTQ+ love story off of my TBR. Either The Gravity Between Us by Kristen Zimmer, Waiting in the Wings by Melissa Brayden, or How Sweet it Is, also by Melissa Brayden.;  Queens of Geek, by Jen Wilde, … The options were plentiful.

And then I realised I hadn’t read Girl Hearts Girl in ages, so I went back to that one instead… Oh well, more joy for reading those others later, I guess?

9. Read a classic love story.

Sense and Sensibility it was, and I have to admit: this is probably the book I got the most joy out of! As I’d also said in my #inloveathon TBR, I really do need my Jane Austen-dosis at least once every while. And this was it and I loved every minute of reading it!

10 Read one of the hosts favorite Contemporary/Historical Romance books.

Nothing.

I just – I got disctracted by all of the other books I was reading?

And that’s that! Did you participate in the #inloveathon? I would love to do this again next year – if nothing else then because I’m now like 10 books ahead of my Goodreads Reading challenge! And of course: so much Romance! And as per the usual: be sure to leave me any recommendations below!
